THE NEWS - DATAMAX WINS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT FROM THE
MEN'S WEARHOUSE |

Boca
Raton, FL. DataMax System Solutions, a leading provider of
in-store technology solutions to the retail industry, announced
the sale of a terminal and biometric keyboard solution to The Men's
Wearhouse, Inc. (NYSE: MW). Houston-based Men's Wearhouse is one
of North America's largest specialty retailers of men's apparel
with over 500 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
Under
the multi-million-dollar agreement, DataMax sold to The Men's
Wearhouse the customized Key Source keyboard with the retail industry's
first integrated biometric device to be used at point of sale. Included
as part of the keyboard are a three-track MSR and a bar code port.
"The
biometric device will serve to facilitate and provide a more secure
method to identify an employee and will allow proper access to our
point of sale systems. This is an ideal option for us in eliminating
the need for employee badges, key cards, or codes," said Harry
Levy, executive vice president of The Men's Wearhouse. Levy continued,
"The employees may leave their card at home, but will never
leave their finger (print) at home."
The
Men's Wearhouse is one of North America's largest specialty retailers
of men's apparel. Founded in 1973, it operates 471 Men's Wearhouse
Stores in the U.S.; Moores Clothing for Men, a 113-store chain in
Canada; and K&G Men's Superstores, which operates 62 stores
in the U.S. The stores carry a full selection of designer, brand
name and private label suits, sport coats, dress casual clothing,
furnishings and accessories. The company also operates the second
largest manufacturing facility of men's suits and sport coats in
Canada, a majority of which is used to supply the Moores stores.
